During her seventeen years as the Rug Designer at Stark Carpet at the Boston Design Center, Catherine Bertulli worked with leading New England Interior Designers to create carpets for government buildings, hotels, corporations, yachts, and private residences. Catherine is also an accomplished. multi-talented artist. Her Fine Art work ranges from oil paintings and watercolors to sculptures in paper and aluminum. Her works are in the collections of museums (including Harvard and Brandeis Universities), corporations and private collectors. She has also painted scenery for ballet productions across the United States, in Canada and in France.

In creating Catherine Bertulli Carpets she is realizing her dream of creating affordable custom carpets. She works with the highest quality mills. all of which have signed on to the Goodweave goals of

• providing child labor-free rugs,

• monitoring supply chains,

• rescuing and educating children found on the looms

• and providing critical services for weaving families.

In addition to designing custom rugs for her clients, Catherine works with her artist community to develop designs based on the most contemporary, museum quality art works, producing stunning carpets that until now would have been  available only to the highest end of the luxury market.
